Rosalie Pepitone

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosalie Graffagnino Pepitone, age 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2012, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas, La. The Reverend James Brady will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mrs. Pepitone, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Rosalie and her husband, Frank, owned and operated Pepitones Grocery on Academy Street for 27 years. Rosalie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her brother, Frank Graffagnino, Jr. of Opelousas, La. and her sister, Josephine G. Persica of Opelousas, La. She is also survived by her nephews, Manuel Persica, Jr. and wife, Camellia Resweber Persica Carroll C.J Graffagnino and wife, Lynn Graffagnino Dr. F.J. Graffagnino and wife, Carol her nieces, Christine Persica Leger and husband, Fred Leger her greatnephews, Manuel Boo Persica, III and wife, Beth Thomas Leger Frankie Graffagnino Vince Graffagnino her greatnieces, Michelle Persica Sarah Leger Emily Graffagnino and her greatgreatnephews, Brandon Persica and Brett Persica.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank Pepitone, Jr. her parents, Frank and Rose Graffagnino her brothers, Pete Graffagnino Vincent Graffagnino Joe Graffagnino Charlie Graffagnino and Tony Graffagnino.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Friday, June 29, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
