Lawtell - A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosalie "Rose" Boudreaux Joubert will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2017, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Reverend Father Ted Broussard and Reverend Father Austin Leger will concelebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery in Lawtell.

Rose, age 90, was a native of Prairie Ronde and a longtime resident of Lawtell. She passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas. She was a graduate of Lawtell High School. She retired from American Bank in Lawtell after serving as a Teller and Branch Manager for over 20 years.
She was very active and devoted parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church where she was known as the "Cake Lady." She was previously a member of the Catholic Daughters for over 50 years, Red Hats Society, and Lawtell Homemakers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Fontenot and husband, Randy of Denham Springs; Sylvia J. Hargroder of Nederland, TX; and Julie J. Lafleur of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren: Todd Fontenot and wife, Daphne; Suzanne Albin and husband, Brad; Dane' Long and husband, Casey; Rusty Hargroder and wife, Joni; Casey Hargroder and wife, Cheree; Holly Caldwell, Lainey Hanna and husband, Chris; Lauren Lafleur and David Helbraun, Cicily Lafleur, and Paige Lafleur; and 16 great-grandchildren, Brady, Bailey, Chase, Caitlin, Noah, Luke, Caleb, Kennedy, Cameron, Kendall, Emma Claire, Kylie, Kaylee, Hunter, Case, and Kaden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Joubert; her parents, Amos Boudreaux and Frances Pitre Boudreaux; three brothers, Pete Boudreaux, Wilfred Boudreaux, and AJ Boudreaux; and four sisters, Elaine Joubert, Helen Venable, Willie Mae Lafleur, and Mildred Boudreaux.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brad Albin, Todd Fontenot, Casey Long, Casey Hargroder, Chris Hanna, Charlie Joubert, and David Helbraun.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the nurses, CNAs, and the entire staff of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home of Opelousas for their wonderful medical care, undying love, devotion and dedication which was given to Mrs. Rosalie.
