Rosa Devillier

Melville Services for Rosa Lee Devillier, age 91, will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Melville, La., followed by interment in the Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Buddy Webb will conduct the services.

Rosa Lee, a resident of Melville, La., passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System.

As a lifelong resident of Melville, she enjoyed crocheting, tending her yard and her gardens. She was passionate about her church and her love of God. She always put her family first and loved the company of her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Joseph H. Jarreau, Jr. and his wife, Barbara Bobbi, of Melville, La. her brothers, Ed Triplette of Melville, La. Robert Courville of Maringouin, La. her sisters, Lula Mae Castille, Laura Mouille both of Melville, La. Josephine Bizette of Lakeland, La. Kathryn Ann Moran of New Roads, La. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Kim D. Jarreau of Denham Springs, La. Randy K. Jarreau of Gonzales, La. Karen L. Long and Kathy Jarreau both of Melville, La. 5 greatgrandchildren and 6 greatgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Devillier her father, John Courville her mother, Lilian Roxanne Triplette her grandson, Joseph H. Jarreau, III and two brothers and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be: Kim D. Jarreau, Randy K. Jarreau, David R. Long, Jessie Lee Ellis, Shane Wiltz and Ed Triplette. Alternate pallbearers will be: James Ellis and Bob Guidry.

Visiting hours will be observed in the First Baptist Church of Melville on Saturday, February 5, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
