Roma O'Brien

Krotz Springs - Funeral services for Daniel J. "Danny" O'Brien, Sr. and Roma Gayle Hooks O'Brien will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs with visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the church with interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Danny, age 57 and Roma, age 62, residents of Krotz Springs, LA, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Roma and Daniel enjoyed the time they spent together traveling and planning for their future travels. They cherished the time spent with family and friends. They will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved them.

Roma is survived by her sons, Teryl "Gene" Gerace, Jr. and wife, Angel; Travis Glenn Gerace and wife, Johanna; her sisters, Ida Fay Hatfield and Judith Elaine Polotzola.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Barbara Hunter O'Brien; his sons, Daniel J. O'Brien, Jr. and wife, Kimberli; Leslie O'Brien, Dustin O'Brien, Dylan O'Brien and fiancé, Michelle Byrd; his daughter, Jacquelyn O'Brien; his brothers, Alfred "Buddy" Modisette, Tommy O'Brien and his sisters, Debbie Magee and Kathy O'Brien-Davies.

Roma was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Dorothy Mae Matthews Hooks; her brother, Randy Eugene Hooks and one great-grandchild, William Gerace.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Ross Mothershead; his maternal grandparents, Ras and Omie Hunter and his granddaughter, Chloe O'Brien.

Roma and Daniel are also survived by their grandchildren, Chelsie Stelly, Kaleb Stelly, Laine Gerace, Ava Gerace, Eli Gerace, Skyla O'Brien, Marshall O'Brien, Kaylie Lahaye, and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers for Roma will be Kaleb Stelly, Laine Gerace, Walter Peck, Shane Peck, Phillip Ellis, Randy Peck and honorary pallbearer will be Eli Gerace.

Pallbearers for Daniel will be Daniel O'Brien, Dylan O'Brien, Leslie O'Brien, John Potts, Buddy Modisette, Dan Davies and honorary pallbearers will be Dustin O'Brien and Norman Mouille.
