Roland Naquin

Melville - Funeral services for Roland Wayne Naquin will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville.  Reverend Samuel Ham will officiate the services.  Visiting will begin at 12:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.

Mr. Naquin, age 60, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2020 at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA.

Roland was a resident of Melville. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed fishing.  Roland enjoyed mowing grass whether it was his own or everybody else's.  He always had a smile to greet everyone.  He loved sitting on the swing with his Uncle Gene talking and drinking coffee.  Roland will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his brothers, Raymond Naquin and wife, Kim of Krotz Springs, Joseph Naquin of Krotz Springs; his sisters, Glenda Clark and husband, Cleven of Melville, Doris Verrette and husband, Raymond of Krotz Springs, Mary Guillory of Port Barre, Mamie Rouse and husband, Thomas of Grayson and two uncles, Herbert Moreau of Prairieville and Gene Jones of Melville.  He is also survived by his grandson, Cameron Naquin, his great-grandson, Waylon Naquin and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanoma Dupre Naquin; his parents, Sidney and Lena Moreau Naquin and his sister, Kathy Bartram.

Pallbearers will be Curley Guillory, Cameron Naquin, Tommy Rouse, Derek Stelly, Blake Duvall and Josh Hebert.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jarred Bartram, Frederick "Captain" Montgomery, Raymond Naquin, Jr. and Derrick Naquin.
