Rodney Stelly

Funeral services for Rodney Stelly will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10AM at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas with the interment in Bellevue Memorial Park. The Rev. Greg Chauvin will conduct the services.

Mr. Stelly, a native of Opelousas, and a resident of Breaux Bridge, age 84, passed away, Saturday morning, April 18, 2009 at St. Agnes Nursing Home.

Mr. Stelly is survived by his wife of 65 years, Viola Lalonde Stelly of Breaux Bridge, his son Bryan Schetele Stelly and his wife Lydia of Breaux Bridge, his 3 daughters; Nathalia Cutrera and her husband Michael of Richardson, TX, Madeline Lagrange and Jessica Guillory both of Breaux Bridge, his brothers; Elie Stelly of Port Arthur TX and Howard Stelly of Gonzales La. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mr. Stelly was preceded in death by his parents; Eli and Alice Miller Stelly, a sister Alfreda Stelly Zerangue and 2 brothers; Alfred and Earl Stelly.

The family has requested that visitation begin on Sunday from 11AM to 10PM and will continue on Monday from 8AM until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 7PM.

Lafond Ardoin Funeral in Opelousas is in charge of the arrangements. 337942-2638
