Rodney Miller

A funeral service will be held for Rodney Miller, age 58, at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, 2016, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Randy Dugas from Our Savior's Church, will conduct the services. Burial will take place at St. Andrew's Chapel Cemetery in Plaisance, LA.

Mr. Miller, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Saturday, September 3, 2016, at his residence.

Rodney enjoyed cooking and entertaining for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Miller, Amber Miller Herpin and husband, Ian; his brothers, Lloyd Miller, Jr. and wife, Roma; Darrell Miller and wife, Tammy; his sisters, Ella Mae Soileau and husband, Bob; Earline Miller and Annie Lee Cormier and husband, Gary. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Nyia Miller, Amelia Herpin and Layla Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Hilda Faul Miller and his sister, Geraldine Soileau.

Visitation will be held at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed by Deacon Tom Lindsey at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until time of services.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Prudhomme, June Vidrine, Ian Herpin, Lloyd Miller, Joey Soileau, Anthony Cormier, Travis Cormier and Toby Cormier.
