Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2019 for Roderick Joseph Boudreaux in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Father Patrick Broussard will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.

Roderick Joseph Boudreaux, age 85 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019 at his residence.

Roderick honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Roderick dearly loved his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Gail Dupre' Boudreaux; sons, Mitch Ortego and his wife, Sandy, Donnie Ortego and his fiance', Tony Perrodin, Billy Boudreaux, Jamie Boudreaux and his wife, Meredith and Shawn Boudreaux and his wife, Nicole; brother, Conrad Boudreaux and his wife, Judy; sister, Joyce Laughlin; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ophie Boudreaux and Celine Stute Boudreaux; and sister, Reena Leeper.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Ortego, Donnie Ortego, Billy Boudreaux, Jamie Boudreaux, Shawn Boudreaux and Terry Ortego.
