Robert Fontenot

Funeral services for Robert Fontenot will be held Monday April 21, 2008 at 1:30P.M. in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. The interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Port Barre. Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mr. Fontenot age 78, a resident of Opelousas died Friday April 18, 2008 at St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas following a short illness. He was a loving husband for over 53 years, father, grandfather, a wonderful brother and a friend to all who knew him. Besides his family and friends he also enjoyed fishing. He was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. During his career he worked for Falcon Seaboard Drilling, Southern Amusement as a theater manager, Clover Farm, and Hueboat Company. Survivors include his wife Roberta Daigle Fontenot of Opelousas, sons: Robert Matthew Fontenot and Gregory Wade Fontenot both of Opelousas, daughter; Phyllis Ann Graphia of Denham Springs, brother; James Fontenot of Leonville, sister; Rosa Mae Aymond of Port Barre, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; August and Clara Sanders Fontenot, son; Steve Ronald Fontenot, brother; Edward Fontenot and a sister; Pearl Alphonse.

Visitation will be Sunday April 20, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. and on Monday from 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
