Opelousas Funeral services for Robert Bobby J. DuBus, age 45, will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, La. Rev. Clayton Hartline will officiate the services.
Mr. DuBus, a resident of Opelousas, died at Southwest Medical Center in Lafayette on Wednesday, August 26, 2009.

Bobby was employed by Cecil Perry General Contractors for seven years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. He will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Flo Domingue of Opelousas; his son, Joshua David DuBus of Gonzales; his brothers, Art Mason and wife, Amanda, of Humble, TX; George Wyble and wife, Missy, of Port Barre, La.; his sisters, Faye Wyble St. Amand and husband, Ronald, of Washington, La. and Jeannie Wyble Snyder and husband, Bobby, of Sugarland, TX. He is also survived by 5 nephews, Tra Mason, David Mason, Justin Snyder, Dusty Bazar, Kyle Bazar; 3 nieces, Bobbie Jo Folse, Rhonda St. Amand and Regina St. Amand and also, 2 great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert DuBus, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Millian Johnson and his paternal grandparents, Katie and Jules DuBus.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 28, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2009 until service time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday followed by a prayer service.

Pallbearers will be Clint Edwards, Robert Bell, Ronald St. Amand, Todd Guillot, Bernard Bergeron and Brandon Menard.
