Robert Boudreau

Robert Boudreau, 49, St. Joseph, Missouri died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 16, 1964 to Kirtley A. and Mary Lynn Sheppard Boudreau in Opelousas, Louisiana.

Robert received his bachelors degree in Journalism from Louisiana Tech. He was the owner of Boudreauxs Louisiana Seafood Steaks restaurant. He was proud of his restaurant, and was named St. Joseph Entrepreneur of the Year in the first year of its operation.

One of the things patrons could count on was Robert walking up to their table with a blue towel hanging from his back pocket and a smile on his face, and taking a knee to talk with his customers, each of whom he considered a friend. He could make you feel as if you were the only table in the restaurant, even in a packed house.

He was a charter member of the St. Joe Originals. He took great enjoyment in golfing, boating, and his time spent at Lake Viking, but above all he loved his children. His annual golf trips and crawfish boils were his special times, as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Faith Anne Boudreau.

Survivors: son, Grant Boudreau daughter, Grace Boudreau, both of the home brothers, Kirtley Boudreau, Lafayette, Louisiana and Bryan Boudreau and his wife, Judy, Opelousas, Louisiana sisters, Evelyn Wyble and her husband, Mark, St. Joseph, Missouri and Jeannell Casanova and her husband, Mark, Corpus Christi, Texas his former wife, Pamela Cole Boudreau, St. Joseph his partner and best friend, Raven Searcy and her son, Reece, St. Joseph and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services: 12:00 Noon Saturday, February 15th, Friday, LafondArdoin Funeral Home, Opelousas, Louisiana. Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, Louisiana. The family will receive friends 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Saturday. Flowers are appreciated and for those wishing to make a contribution, the family requests they be made to St. Joseph Cathedral School or Bishop LeBlond High School.
