Rexie Little

Krotz Springs Services for Rexie McDaniel Little, age 92, will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs, La. Burial to follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Chad Bolfa.

Rexie, a resident of Krotz Springs, La., died on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at 3:15 a.m. at her residence.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, a member of the Vacation Bible School, W.M.U., the Krotz Springs PTA and one of the founding members of the first Mothers Club. She was very involved in mission work and supported one of her favorite charities, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her sons, Lonnie C. Pennington, of Miami, Florida Douglas Pennington of Baker, La. her daughters, Katherine Ashford of Dallas, Texas Sybil Little of Krotz Springs, La. her brother, Gilbert Ardoin of Baton Rouge, La. her sisters, Vyrona LeJeune of Krotz Springs, La. Bera Ardoin of Krotz Springs, La. Eula Mae Marchiafava of Baton Rouge, La. Eloise Roddy of Prairieville, La. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren 10 greatgrandchildren 2 greatgreat grandchildren and 2 stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Little her sisters, Kathryn Williamson, Gloria Myers, Judy Smith, Elnora Walker, Emma Lee Ventola, her brothers, Leo McDaniel, Joseph Ardoin, Jr. and one grandson, Lonnie Pennington, Jr.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, beginning on Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. until service time.

The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Rexie to the Missions at the First Baptist Church or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the OGH ICU, PCU, ER and the Nursing Staff Dr. Mayeaux, Dr. Dibbs, Krotz Springs Fire Department and the Heart of Hospice Staff for their wonderful care.
