Rev. Lazaro

Opelousas Services for Stephen Charles Lazaro, age 70, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on, Saturday, April 23, 2011 in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverends Pam Roy and Kevin Wineush will conduct the services.

Mr. Lazaro, who was a resident of Opelousas, died at 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at his residence in Opelousas, La.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline Morris Savage Lazaro of Opelousas, La. his son, Dr. Stephen Charles Lazaro and wife, Suzy, of New Orleans, La. his daughter, Karen Lazaro Jones and husband, Ken, of Lafayette, La. one stepson, Steven Savage and wife, Tammy, of Opelousas, La. three stepdaughters, Monica Savage Williams and husband, Dr. Ray Williams, of Opelousas, La. Melina Savage Isaac and husband, Sidney, of Carencro, La. Melisa Savage Hardy and husband, Barry, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi his brother, Dr. Ladislas Butch Lazaro, III and wife, Kay, of Opelousas, La. his sisters, Denise Lazaro Bourdier and husband, Paul, of Opelousas, La. and Connie Van Conover of Pittsboro, North Carolina. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Hanna Jones and Ken Jones both of Lafayette, La. Ashton Stephen Lazaro of New Orleans, La. thirteen stepgrandchildren four stepgreat grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ladislas Lazaro and Lillian Boagni Lazaro.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and will reopen on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until service time.
