Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Renee Williams Jagneaux at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Benji Richard will conduct the funeral service. Burial will be held at the Little Red Church Cemetery in Sunset.

Renee, age 35, a resident of Port Barre, LA, died on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Renee enjoyed rescuing stray cats and bringing them back to health. She enjoyed spending time with her boys and her family, working out and spending time outdoors. She was also a proud supporter of Gay Rights and inspired many people. She also saved six lives by being an organ donor. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Paul Jagneaux of Port Barre, LA; her sons, John David Stakes, Jr. of Port Barre, LA; Dexter Gage Jagneaux of Port Barre, LA; her step-son, Sean Jagneaux, of Scott, LA; her step-daughter, Brooke Jagneaux, of Scott, LA; her mother, Bertina Williams of Opelousas, LA; her father, Steven R. Williams, of Opelousas, LA; her grandmother, Gussie Olivier of Opelousas, LA; her brothers, Jerry Williams of Opelousas, LA; John Williams, of Opelousas, LA; her sisters, Michelle Devillier and husband, Spense, of Port Barre, LA; Cindy Sylvester and husband, Chris, of Grand Prairie, LA; Tiffany Williams of Lafayette, LA; her brothers-in-law, Nicky Jagneaux, of Opelousas, LA; Albert Jagneaux of Gramercy, LA and her sister-in-law, Paula Jagneaux of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Devin, Ethan, Haydn and Cowen Devillier; Alex and Lydia Sylvester; Brittany, Jacob, Evan, Grant and Robert Jagneaux.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven R. Williams, Jr.; her grandmother, Ruby Bryant, her grandfathers, Jurdon Bryant, Sr. and Kelsey Sonnier and her father-in-law, Darcy "Boy" Jagneaux.

Pallbearers will be John Stakes, Sr., Jerry Williams, Devin Devillier, Randy Nezat, Chris Sylvester and Spense Devillier. Honorary pallbearers will be Alex Sylvester, Albert Jagneaux, Michael Viola and Cathy Wheeless.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, March 10, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
