Rebecca Bullara

Opelousas- Funeral services will be held for Rebecca Nora Bullara at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. Father James Brady will conduct the mass. Interment will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ms. Bullara, age 63, a native of Opelousas, a resident of Lafayette, LA, died on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at her residence surrounded by her loving and caring family.

In her spare time Ms. Bullara enjoyed baking for her friends and family. She liked spending time gardening and quilting. She also had a good time Cajun dancing. She loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Bernard Champagne and husband, Barry, of the Woodlands, TX, Emily Rae Nelson of Opelousas; her brothers, Jimmy Bullara and wife, Patsy, Tommy Bullara and wife, Anita, Dean Bullara and wife, LeaAnn; her sisters, Vernita Ducharme and husband, Jerry, Stella Lirette and husband, Kirk, Donna Dupre and husband, Phil, Lisa Whipp and husband, Troy; her sister-in-law Mary Beth Bullara; her grandchildren, Avery Charles Champagne, Cameron James Champagne, Chad Joseph Duresseaux Jr., Charleigh Rae Nelson, Brayleigh Chaylynn Stevens.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Paul Bullara and Hazel Courville Bullara; her brother, Vincent Bullara.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 28, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Deacon Sammy Diesi. The funeral home will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
