Ray Guillory, Jr.

Opelousas - Funeral services for Ray E. Guillory, Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Reverend Msgr. Keith DeRouen will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Ray E. Guillory, Jr. passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 67. Ray was a native and resident of Opelousas. He graduated from Opelousas High School in 1967. He was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Ray loved animals, especially his cat, Dax. Another interest was sports, especially LSU and Saints football. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

Ray was a caring son. Left behind to cherish his memory is his mother Elsie B. Guillory; his aunts, (Godmother) Versie B. Richard of Opelousas; Leola Guillory of Lake Charles; Betty Lafleur and her husband, Floyd of Jennings. Also left behind are his cousins, Cheryl Schlomer and her husband, Edward of Opelousas; David Richard and his wife Rhonda of Opelousas; and Judy Carpenter of Lake Charles.
He now rests in peace with his father, Ray E. Guillory, Sr.; his brother, Craig Guillory; his grandparents, Alex and Idea' Arceneaux Beaumery, Lastie Guillory, and Evelia Duos Fontenot; and his uncles, Aaron Richard and Ewell Guillory.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00 p.m. in funeral home.
