Raleigh Castille

Bellevue - Funeral services for Raleigh Castille will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Internment will take place at the Little Red Church Cemetery in Bellevue, LA. Reverend Benny Reppond will conduct the services.

Mr. Castille, age 88, a resident of Sunset, died Friday, December 4, 2015 at his residence.

Mr. Castille served his country proudly in the United States Army during WWII. He worked as an inspector for the Louisiana Department of Agriculture. He was also a crawfish and cattle farmer. Mr. Castille was an avid bowler and won the State Senior five times. Most of all he enjoyed having a good time and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Arthur Castille of St. Francisville, LA; his daughter, Brenda Cuellar and husband, Jose of Dallas, TX; his brother, Armand Castille III and wife, Susan of Opelousas, LA; his sister, Betty McKinney of Opelousas, LA. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Jordyn Kirkpatrick of Arlington, TX and Landon Kirkpatrick of Desoto, TX.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Beverly "Bobbie" Burris Castille; his parents, Armand Castille, Jr. and Celeste Bouttee; his brothers, Dudley Castille, Felix Castille and Marion Castille; his sisters, Gladys Rose and Marlene Miller.

The family has requested visitation be held on Sunday, December 6, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
