Priscilla Israel

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Priscilla Margaret Israel at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Israel, age 84, a resident of Union, Missouri and formerly of Port Barre, La., died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at her residence.

Priscilla will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her grandchildren, Kim Ball Wilson, Les Wilson and John Higginbotham and one greatgrandchild, Mackenzie Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Brignac her parents, Charlie Israel and Theresa Morain Israel her daughters, Valli Dawn Straughan, Sally Straughan Higginbotham her brothers, Aubrey Israel, Attaway Israel and her sisters, Hilda Israel Fontenot, Lilly Mae Israel Fontenot, Berthaline Israel Boutte.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, February 24, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
