Phillip Pastorick

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Phillip Wayne Pastorick at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas.  Monsignor Russell Harrington will officiate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Pastorick, age 68, a resident of Opelousas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Phillip was employed for 35 years with Williams Pipeline.  He loved being outdoors hunting and fishing for redfish and alligator gar.  He was a member of the Sugarhouse Hunting Club and LeBeau Hunting Club.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Phillip will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dona Pastorick of Opelousas, LA; his daughter, Lacey Marie Latiolais (Jake); his father-in-law, Marion Boss; his brothers, Kenneth Meche (Dale), Bryan Meche (Debbie), Davie Meche, Jr.; Craig Meche (Jamie) his sisters, Carolyn Thevis (Herbert) Jeanette David (Carl), Diane Hebert (David), Patricia Meyer (James) and Charmaine Bourque (John).  He is also survived by five grandchildren, Zane, Aby Gail, Vivianne, Bentley and Tatum Phillip Latiolais.

He was preceded in death by mother, Joann Pastorick Meche; his stepfather, Davie Meche, Sr.; his brother, Michael Pastorick; his grandmother, Margaret Pastorick and his mother-in-law, Velma Boss.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.  Visiting will continue Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.  A Rosary will be prayed Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Jake Latiolais, Edward Morain, J.J. Lavergne, Herbie Thevis, Jr., Chris Bourque and Jarret Boss.
