Phillip Edmond, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. for Phillip Kyrne Edmond, Sr. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in the Skip Montet Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Reverend James Brady will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Edmond, age 57, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Phillip was an avid sports fan and devoted LSU Tigers fan. He was an exceptionally talented baseball and softball player. Phillip was always smiling and will be remembered as a fun loving and very proud dad. He loved fishing, cooking and listening to Zydeco music. Everywhere Phillip went, he always made sure to have a good time. Phillip will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Phillip Kyrne Edmond, Jr.; his daughter, Katie Brooke Edmond; his brother, Charles Emond; his sister, Emma Badeau and his former wife, Christine Ortego Edmond.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Elvie and Clara Grace Hollier Edmond; his sister-in-law, Theresa Edmond and brother-in-law, Joseph Badeau.
