Opelousas – Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. for Peggy W. Smith at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.

Peggy Smith, age 75 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020 at her residence.

Peggy’s family was her whole world. She loved to dance and travel, especially going on cruises. As a pastime, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Peggy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her life partner of 27 years, Ray Thibodeaux; daughters, Paula Bordelon and her husband, Randy, Suzahn King and her husband, Jason; daughter-in-law, Jenny Smith; grandchildren, Jennifer Bordelon Prosper and husband, Blake, Peggy Bordelon Harmon and husband, Jeffrey, Holly Bordelon LeBlanc and husband, Stephen, Melanie Bordelon Babino and husband, Samuel, Randy Paul Bordelon and wife, Heather, Taylor Bizette Hepworth and husband, Nate and Allison Smith; and great-grandchildren, Noah Harmon, Ellie Harmon, Lucy Harmon, Samuel Babino, Khloe Babino, Anthony Babino, Kate LeBlanc, Preston LeBlanc, Lilly LeBlanc, Corinne Bordelon, Brooks Prosper and Evie Prosper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Winfiele and Myrtis Rowe Winfiele; son, Bobby Smith; daughter, Myrtis “Emmy” Smith; and great-granddaughter, Grace LeBlanc.
