Paul Stermer, Sr.

Krotz Springs - Funeral services will be held for Paul Wilson Stermer, Sr., age 74, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2016, in the First Baptist Church Hall of Krotz Springs, with visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. Brother Chad Bolfa and Pastor Mark Stermer will conduct the funeral service. Burial will take place at First Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Paul Wilson, a native of Krotz Springs, LA and a resident of Breaux Bridge, LA, died on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Paul Wilson enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. He was considered a "jack of all trades" and loved serving our Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mattie Stermer of Breaux Bridge; his sons, Paul Stermer, Jr. (Penny) of Krotz Springs, Mark Stermer (Cindy) of St. Amant, Blake Stermer of Breaux Bridge; his daughter, Debbie Johnson (Tommy) of Melville; his sisters, Marie Cagle of Krotz Springs, Troy Slocum (Wayne) of Krotz Springs, Ruby Hutchins (Walter) of Lottie, Corrine Floyd of Parks, Cheryl Duplechain (Roy) of Lake Elsiner, CA, Audrey Doucet (Kenny) of Krotz Springs, Kathy Martinez (Larry) of Krotz Springs. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Louis Stermer, Sr. and Rosalie Corley Stermer; his grandparents, Frank Louis and Corrine Barker Stermer, Pete Corley and Elizabeth Frank; his sister, Betty Stermer Hawkins and his brothers, Frank Louis Stermer, Jr. and Mickey Ray Stermer.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Johnson, Tillman Myers, Johnny Johnson, Buster Buxton, Paul Stermer, Jr. and Blake Stermer. Honorary pallbearer will be Ricky Willis.
