Paul Joubert, Jr.

Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 for Paul E. Joubert, Jr. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, Louisiana. The Reverend Monsignor Russell Harrington will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro, Louisiana.

Paul E. Joubert, Jr., age 49 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018.

Paul served his country honorably in the United States Navy during Desert Storm. He enjoyed spending time writing and playing music. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Paul "Ed" Edward Joubert, Sr. and Sally Zerangue Joubert; son, Jean Paul Joubert of California; daughters, Renee' Elise Babin and husband, Brandon of Breaux Bridge and Angelle Marie Joubert of Crowley; brother, Jason Brian Joubert of Austin, Texas; and sisters, Angela Spicer and husband, David of Lafayette and Nicole Joubert Domingue and husband, Carlos of Carencro.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jean-Batiste "Voorhies" Joubert and Hilda Joubert; and maternal grandparents, Bienvenue Zerangue and Anna Grace Zerangue.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Pallbearers will be Kent Zerangue, Wendel Zerangue, Jason Joubert, David Spicer, Carlos Domingue, Brandon Babin and Bryan Deranger.
