Paul Guillaumin

Opelousas - Funeral services for Mr. Paul N. Guillaumin, age 77, will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

The Reverend Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the Mass of Christian Burial.

Mr. Guillaumin, a native of Ville Platte, La. and resident of Opelousas, La. died on Wednesday, June 24, 2008 at Doctors Hospital of Opelousas.

Mr. Guillaumin worked for the Department of Education as a state auditor for over 30 years. He served his country during the Korean conflict in the U.S. Army from August 17, 1951 to May 26, 1953. He was also a member of the VFW Post 2483.

Mr. Guillaumin is survived by his sons, Scott P. Guillaumin of Opelousas, La.; Ted A. Guillaumin of Opelousas, La.; Shane S. Guillaumin of Opelousas, La.; his daughters, Fran M. Guillaumin of Youngsville, La.; Helen K. Guillaumin of Opelousas, La. and his sister, Nora Deville, of Ville Platte, La. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Guillaumin was preceded in death by his parents, Rema and Gertrude Guillaumin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday, June 26, 2008, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
