Funeral services for Paul Merrill Dupre will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2009 at 11:00am in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington. The interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Fr. Albert Nunez will conduct the services.
Pallbearers will be Dale Darbonne, Ian Dupre, Tim Bernard, Tim Robin, Harold Sibille, Jr. and Logan Matt. Honorary pallbearers will be Raynold Soileau, Raymond Darbonne and Tanner Myers.
A Eulogy will be by Raynold Soileau. Gift bearers will be Monica Myers and Darlene Smith and the readers will be Sara Soileau, Wendy McLemore and Ethel Landreneau. Music will be provided by the Washington Choir.
Mr. Dupre, age 66 a resident of Washington died Sunday January 11, 2009 at Opelousas General Health Systems following a long illness.
He was retired from the Louisiana State Department of Agriculture. He was an usher at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He loved to hunt and fish, along with raising cattle. Mr. Dupre was very dear to two special coworkers; Tim Robin and Harold Mudd Sibille, Jr.
Survivors include his wife; Winnie Darbonne Dupre of Washington, mother; Gladys R. Dupre of Plaisance and also numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father; Curt Dupre, Sr., brothers; Curt Dupre, Jr. and Ken Dupre.
Visitation will be held on Monday January 12, 2009 from 4:00pm until 10:00pm and will reopen Tuesday at 8:00am. A rosary will be recited on Monday at 6:30pm.
