Patsy Ann Kimble was born on September 22, 1947 to Annie and Walter Kimble and passed away peacefully on June 19, 2019.

She is survived by five brothers and two sisters, Jerry Kimble of Liverpool, TX; Ronnie Kimble (Brenda) of Port Barre, LA; Darrel Kimble (Paula) of Krotz Springs, LA; Walter R. Kimble (Ruth) of Gulf Breeze, FL; Donald (Bubbie) Kimble of Breaux Bridge, LA; Sally Hooks (Neil) of Krotz Springs, LA and Rose Disotell (Wendell) of Calico Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Annie Kimble; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Lucy Alphonse and her paternal grandparents, Walter and Mary S. Kimble.

Patsy was a lifelong resident of Melville, Louisiana and current resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home of Opelousas, Louisiana.  She was a special needs person and enjoyed life to the fullest.  She could be seen daily riding her bicycle all over Melville making her rounds to the different business establishments.  She would stop at the drugstore and visit Terry Mengarelli and his staff then onto Cortez's store where she would sometimes make coffee for Mary and Benny Morain and their staff.  She then went on to Cannatella's to visit Brian Cannatella and staff and of course get a snack there while she waited for the post office to open.  She wasn't finished with her visiting until she stopped by the office and Med Express, and while visiting, she would get another cup of coffee and say "hi" to Mark Majors and staff.  If Mark was in the breakroom or having meeting with his employees, he would just stop until Patsy finished her cup of coffee and was ready to leave.  She would journey on across the street to the post office and police department to have her daily visit with Chief of Police Jesse Moreau and another cup of coffee.  It's a miracle she didn't drown in coffee.  She would also stop by Susie's Diner and visit with Susie Barker and staff for, yet again, coffee and visiting.

The family would like to thank the friendly people of Melville for being so kind and patient with Patsy.  Special thanks to Tanisha Aggison, an employee of the nursing home.  She went the extra mile to make sure Patsy was comfortable and had everything she wanted, which usually meant food.  Many times, Tanisha would share her lunch with our sister, Patsy, or bring her lunch if she was ordering out.  As you can tell Patsy loved food, but she loved her "momma" more.  She missed her every day.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patsy's name to St. John Catholic Church in Melville, LA.
