Patsy Fontenot

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM for Patsy S. Fontenot on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at St. Landry Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Fontenot, age 68, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Opelousas General Health System.

Patsy loved listening to music and watching her favorite football team, The New Orleans Saints. She also loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. Patsy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by husband of 53 years, Richard Fontenot; her sons, Michael Fontenot and wife, Nicole; John Fontenot and wife, Kimberly; Brandon Fontenot and Kristel Fontenot; her daughter, Tracy Fontenot; her brother, Curley Savoy, Jr. and her sister, Barbara Fontenot and husband, Michael. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Curley Savoy, Sr. and Bessie Lejeune Savoy and her brother, Rawlings Savoy.

Visitation will be held in the Skip Montet Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday, May 17, 2017, at 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.

Pallbearers will be Michael Fontenot, Jr., Dustin Morris, Devin Fontenot, Seth Fontenot, James Sliman, Matthew Fontenot and Allen Marks.
