Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 for Patrick Wayne Taylor in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will officiate the services. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Patrick Wayne Taylor, age 78 and a resident of Butte La Rose, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Patrick worked as a Realtor for Century 21 for many years in Breaux Bridge. He then went to start his own real estate company with his wife, Catherine Joyce Taylor. Patrick also worked as a developer in Breaux Bridge, Sunset and Butte La Rose. He loved living in Butte La Rose on the Atchafalaya River. Patrick also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

He is survived by his son, Michael Taylor of Baton Rouge; daughter, Donna P. Taylor of Youngsville; brothers, Earl Basile Taylor and his wife, Lee of Opelousas, Harold Lynn Taylor and his wife, Ammy of Opelousas and Bobby Shurley "Red Smiley" of California; sister, Helen Soileau of Sunset; sister-in-law, Kathleen Richard Taylor; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Zachary Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Joyce Stout Taylor; parents, Herbert and Viola Fontenot Taylor; brother, Kenneth H. Taylor; and brother-in-law, Hugh Soileau.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert.
