Patricia Leblanc

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Patricia Dugal LeBlanc, age 80, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Reverend James Brady will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mrs. LeBlanc, who was a native of Opelousas, died on Friday, July 18, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. She was a graduate of the Academy of the Immaculate Conception as well as LSU where she earned a Bachelors degree in Music. Mrs. LeBlanc was a lifelong member of the St. Landry Catholic Church community and organist for over 50 years. She was a certified music teacher by the MTNA and instructed numerous students from the area over the years.

Survivors include her son, Christopher J. LeBlanc and wife Ann T. LeBlanc of Texas daughters, Jeanne M. LeBlanc of Arnaudville, Judith L. Gonsorek and husband Dennis of Indiana, and Susan L. Nicholson and husband John of Texas twelve grandchildren, Sara S. Landry and husband Keith, Allison J. Saizon, Alex J. Saizon and wife Deanna, Ashlie and Stacy Rice, Jennifer Goss and husband Ray, Greg Rice, Hillary Gonsorek, Ian Gonsorek, John Nicholson, Jr. and wife Rachel, Andrew J. Nicholson and his fianc Lindsay Mitchell, Christopher J. LeBlanc, II, Olivia G. LeBlanc eleven greatgrandchildren, brother, Paul Dugal and wife Mary Ann of Opelousas, sister in law, Mona LeBlanc of Baton Rouge, and three nieces and three nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Marcel J. LeBlanc and her parents, Clifford P. and Irene B. Dugal.

Visiting will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning Monday, July 21, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
