NORRIS MAYER

Funeral services for Mr. Norris Mayer will be held Friday, February 2,2007 at 10:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre with interment at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville. Rev. Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Mr. Mayer, 75, died Tuesday, January 30,2007 at Lafayette General Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife; Lily Mae L. Mayer or Port Barre, 2 sons; Norris and his wife Bernie Mayer of Grand Prairie and Mark Mayer of Ville Platte and 4 step-sons; Earl Lanclos of Port Barre, Raphael Lanclos of Jennings La, Neil Lanclos of Church Point and Tommy Lanclos of Port Barre, 1 step-daughter; Cynthia Pena of Port Barre, 1 sister; Joyce M. Lanclos of Opelousas. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 1 Great-grandchild and 5 Great-step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; Joseph Mayer and Hilda Lanclos and a son Donald Edward Mire.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Thursday from 11:00AM till 10:00PM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas,and will continue on Friday from 8:00AM until time of service.A rosary will be recited at 7pm Thurday.
