Norma Cortez

Funeral services for Norma DeBaillon Cortez will be held on Wednesday, July 16th, 2008 at St. Landry Catholic Church at 2:30PM with the Interment in Bellevue Memorial Park.

The Rev. Msgr. Robert Romero will conduct the services.

Mrs. Cortez died on Saturday, July 13th at Opelousas General Health System at 9:57AM.

She is survived by her husband Charles Abbie Cortez of Opelousas, her mother; Hilda F. DeBaillon of Ville Platte, her sons; Mark Cortez and his wife Kimberly of Tyron, GA. and Kipling Cortez and his wife Sharon of Powder Springs, GA., a daughter; Pamela C. Bourgeois and her husband Donald Bourgeois II of Port Barre and her sisters; Delores Daigle and her husband Joseph of Lake Charles, Rita Daigle and her husband Robert of Broussard, Cheryl DeBaillon of Ville Platte and Tina Guidry and her husband James of Port Barre. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; Logan, Mason and Drake Bourgeois of Port Barre, Taylor and Triston Cortez of Tyrone GA. and Austin Cortez of Powder Springs GA.,

Mrs. Cortez was preceded in death by a son; Mitchel Cortez and her father; Joseph DeBaillon.

The family has requested that visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, from 2:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00AM until the time of service. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM on Tuesday.
