Funeral services for Norma "Fussy" Moore Bozeman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2017, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Brother Kenny Myers will conduct the service with burial to follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Norma "Fussy" (Moore) Bozeman was born Marth 12th, 1925 the last of 4 children born into the family of Hugh Isaac and Maggie Fergusson Moore in Pottsville, TX. She was freed from her physical life on Monday, March 27th, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family at the age of 92.
Norma was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. She lived a significant part of her early years in Beaumont, TX. She was married to J.W. "Bo" Bozeman and both were active in the Church of Christ. They moved to Opelousas with J.W.'s job at Humble Oil and Refining Company. They enjoyed a marriage lasting 43 years and 3 months. Norma adored hummingbirds and giraffes, as well as, her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three children, her son, Hugh Preston Bozeman and wife, Linda; her daughter, Norma Sue (Bozeman) Bennett; her son, Guy Alford Bozeman and wife, JoAnn; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Bozeman; her parents Hugh and Maggie Fergusson Moore; two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
