Nola Guidroz

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Nola Mae Guidroz, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2013, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA. Reverend James Brady will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Readers will be, Nicole Gautreaux and Danielle Aguillard. Gift bearers will be, Wendy Judice, Brandi Darbonne and Frankie Olivier. Music will be performed by Ron Moreau and Phyllis Simar.

Ms. Guidroz, age 83, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2013, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

Nolas life was her family. She dearly loved her children, siblings, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreat grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her son, Samuel Wayne Gautreaux and wife, Wanda, of Opelousas, LA her daughters, Judie G. Olivier and husband, Albert, of Opelousas, LA Glenda G. Darbonne and husband, Leroy, of Opelousas, LA her brother, Nolan Guidroz of Houma, LA and her sisters, Velma Bihm of Opelousas, LA Mary Ann Bellard of Carencro, LA and Lorena Foster of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Duane Olivier and wife, Tonya, of Opelousas, LA Frankie Olivier of Opelousas, LA Brandi Darbonne of Key West, Florida Wendy Judice and husband, Clay, of Lafayette, LA Eric Gautreaux and wife, Nicole, of Arnaudville, LA Danielle Aguillard and husband, Brandon, of Lafayette, LA 14 greatgrandchildren and 2 greatgreat grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gervais and Marie Guidroz her brothers, Curley Guidroz, John Guidroz her sisters, Marie Val Duffy and Anne Guidroz her grandson, Casey Olivier and her greatgrandson, Jacob Olivier.

Visiting hours will begin on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be, Alex Smith, Andrew Olivier, Duane Olivier, Clay Judice, Jr., Brandon Aguillard, Jordan Olivier and honorary pallbearers will be, Wayne Gautreaux, Eric Gautreaux, Albert Olivier and Leroy Darbonne.
