Nola Clavier

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Nola Dugas Clavier will be held on Thursday January 27, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas. The interment will take place at the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Eunice. Rev. Paul Bienvenu will celebrate the mass.

Mrs. Clavier, age 84 a resident of Opelousas died Tuesday January 25, 2011 at her residence.

She was a member of the American Legion Womens Auxiliary, VFW Womens Auxiliary, Disabled American Womens Auxiliary and Our Lady of Mercy Altar Society.

She is survived by her sons Leo Clavier, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Brandon, MS, Willie Clavier of Lafayette, LA, Dale Clavier and wife Dee of Baton Rouge, LA and Leonard Clavier and wife Eva of Opelousas, daughters Eileen Clavier Hollingsworth and husband Tim of Zachary and Arleen Clavier Doucet and husband Kenneth of Opelousas, sisters Lillie Fontenot of Luling LA and Audrey Richard of Magnolia MS, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leo Clavier, Sr. her parents, Dennis Dugas and Therese Noel Dugas her brother, Rodney Dugas and her sister, Edith Zerangue.

The family has requested visitation be from 3:00 p.m. and will remain open all night until time of services on Thursday. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m.
