Opelousas A memorial service for Noel Ann Thistlethwaite will be held at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009. Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the service.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Noel Ann Thistlethwaite, a native of Opelousas, La. and former resident of Washington, La. and more recently of Carencro, La., passed away at her home on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the age of 53.

Noel was known for her work in wildlife rehabilitation to which she was extremely devoted. Noel will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her animals.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Ginny Thistlethwaite.

She is survived by her father, Ed Thistlethwaite and his wife, Thelma, of Washington, La.; her brother, Lex Thistlethwaite and his wife, Mary, of Las Vegas, Nevada and their son, Alex Thistlethwaite; her sister, Dona Thistlethwaite of Las Vegas, Nevada and her children, Christina, Vincent and Gino Marino.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009, until time of service.
