Nicole Leigh Charrier

Nicole Leigh Charrier, age 44, a beloved daughter and sister, passed away peacefully at her residence in Prairie Ronde, Louisiana, on December 4, 2024. She was born on February 21, 1980, in New Iberia, Louisiana. Nicole lived a life filled with joy and simple pleasures.

Funeral services for Nicole will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, Louisiana. Nicole’s father, Pastor Louis Charrier, will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Grace Community Baptist Church Cemetery in Iota, Louisiana.

A visitation for Nicole will be held in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Monday, December 9, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. 

Nicole had a profound love for music, with a particular fondness for Christmas melodies that brought warmth to her spirit. She cherished the moments spent riding in the car. She also enjoyed eating her favorite Blue Belle Ice Cream, Homemade Vanilla, a treat that brought her immense happiness. One of her most endearing joys was playing with her rattle.

Nicole is survived by her devoted parents, Louis and June Charrier, who provided her unwavering support and love throughout her life. She also leaves behind her brothers, Joel Charrier and Jason Charrier, along with her sisters, Sarah Charrier Boenig and Rachel Charrier Roy. Each family member holds her memory close, cherishing the unique light she brought into their lives.

The family will remember Nicole for her warmth and kindness. Her spirit will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
