Nevest was a dispatcher for the Melville Police Department for 20 plus years. She enjoyed working and taking care of others. She enjoyed being around her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Charles W. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Christie Naquin, Lacie Corder, Samantha and Jason Marcotte, Lorenda Stelly and five greatgrandchildren, Tanis and Zoe Corder, Titus and Aaron Stelly and Addy Marcotte.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Coulon, Sr. her son, Karl J. Coulon her parents, Clarence and Dometile Matthews her brothers, Leighton Bully Matthews, Clarence Matthews her sisters Ola Pecha, Sable Ryder, Murtis Klootwyk, Mabel Reed and Evelyn Johnson.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Melville on Monday, November 24, 2014, from 8:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
