Funeral services for Mrs. John Popps, the former Neva Leger, will be held on Friday, October 13th, at 10AM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville, with interment

at the First Baptist cemetery in Melville. The Rev. Merrick Henry will conduct the services.

Mrs. Popps, age 78, died at her residence in Melville on Thursday, October 10th, 2006. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Melville.

Mrs. Popps is survived by 3 sons; Manuel Popps, Daniel Popps and Russell Popps all of Melville, 2 daughters; Janet Comeaux and Edith Fletcher both of Melville, 1 sister; Mrs. Annie Davis of Kenner. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; John Popps, her parents; Michelle and Josephine Phillips Leger and four sisters.

The family has requested that visitation be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville on Thursday, October 12th, 2006 from 3:00PM till time of service.
