Myrna Chapman

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Myrna Marie Chapman, age 60, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, La. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Leo Catholic Church Cemetery with Reverend Ken Domingue as the Celebrant.

Mrs. Chapman, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at 10:57 p.m. at her residence.

Myrna will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Raylin James Chapman, Sr. of Opelousas, La. her son, Donnie Ray Comeaux, Jr. of New Orleans, La. her daughter, Monica Lynn Barrett and husband, Shannon, of Pine Prairie, La. her brother, Otis Richard, Jr. and wife, Diane, of Opelousas, La. her sister, Jane Richard Guidroz and husband, Gerald, of Leonville, La. her stepfather, Albert Richard of Opelousas, La. her stepson, Raylin James Chapman, Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Ville Platte, La. her stepdaughters, Tina Marie Martel of Cecilia, La. and Michelle Lee Fruge of Eunice, La. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kristy Fontenot, Bailey Fontenot, Alley Doga three stepgrandsons and four stepgranddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Richard, Sr. and Thelma Stelly Richard her son, Chad Michael Comeaux her brothers, Dale Zerangue and Joseph Block Floyd Richard her stepdaughter, Katina Ann Marcantel, her stepgrandson, Chance Poncho and her stepgranddaughter, Kyra Ann Fruge.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Tuesday, August 21, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. open all night until service time on Wednesday. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday by Reverend James Brady.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Chapman, Bubba Richard, Corey Guidroz, Jared Guidroz, Otis Richard, Mike Fontenot and honorary pallbearer will be R.J. Chapman, Jr.
