Mrs. Rosea Joubert

Lawtell - A Mass of Christian Burial for Rosea Patricia Prudhomme Joubert will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2017, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Reverend Father Ted Broussard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery in Lawtell.

Rosea, age 83, was a native of Ville Platte and a longtime resident of Lawtell. She passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. She was a retired Business Teacher after teaching at Lawtell High School for 34 years. She was a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. She was previously a member of the Catholic Daughters and Lawtell Homemakers. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family and friends. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Richard Joubert of Lawtell; two granddaughters, Kylie Joubert of Carencro; and Kathryn Joubert of Milton; one great-granddaughter, Klaire Schnepel of Carencro; two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude P. Joubert; her parents, Gus Prudhomme and Marie Soileau Prudhomme; and one brother, Carroll Prudhomme.

Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 9:45 a.m. in funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Fontenot, David Fontenot, Billy Fontenot, Garrett Duplechain, Andy Young, and Rodney Schnepel.
