Mrs. Lionel Babineaux

Opelousas Funeral Services will be held for Mrs. Lionel Babineaux, the former Margaret Courtney, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Babineaux, age 79, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System.

Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, and greatgrandmother, she will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her daughters, Glenda Gary and husband, Richard, of Opelousas, La. Darlene Robin and husband, Keith, of Opelousas, La. her sister, Evelyn King of Joplin, Missouri and her nieces, Carolyn and Billie. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Tammy Richard and husband, Coy Eric Robin and wife, Meegan Jamie Lafleur Rodney Lafleur Chad Robin and wife, Amanda Seth Robin, Casey Hardy and husband, Dennis and 9 greatgrandchildren, Christopher Richard, Benjamin Richard, Ashlyn Richard, Cierra Richard, Jacob Lafleur, Caleb Nicholas Dawson Hardy, Landon Robin and Kylee Robin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lionel Babineax her parents, Clarence and Martha Courtney and her nephew, David King.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, March 21, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until service time.
