Mrs. Eddie Morris

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Eddie Morris, the former Shirley Scrantz, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. Reverend Gary Schexnayder will conduct the service. Burial will be held in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery in Opelousas.

Mrs. Morris, age 71, a resident of Little Teche, died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her daughter, Connie Ardoin, and husband, David, of Scott, LA her brothers, Clayton Scrantz of Baton Rouge, La. Calvert Scrantz of Baton Rouge, La. Croyce Scrantz of Krotz Springs, La. and Sherby Scrantz of Port Barre, La. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Brandon Ardoin and Alex Ardoin both of Scott, La.

She was preceded in death by husband of 53 years, Eddie Morris her parents, Kelvin and Volina Scrantz her daughter, Brenda Lee Morris her sisters, Beatrice Scrantz, Virdie Scarntz Stewart, Piola Scrantz Robin her brothers, Leroy Scrantz, Adley Scrantz and Emery Scrantz.

Visiting will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, December 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be David Ardoin, Brandon Ardoin, Alex Ardoin, Kenneth Morris, Mark Morris and Greg Morris.
