Opelousas - Funeral services for Mitchell Ray Barron will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Parlor in Opelousas. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning at 9:00 AM until time of services at 3:00 PM.

Mr. Barron, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018.

Mitchell enjoyed being outdoors, cutting grass and loved helping others. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Mitchell is survived by his son, Ethan Barron; his parents, Ray and Shirley Barron; his sister, Vicki Barron Richard and husband, Steve; his niece, Miranda Richard and nephew, Nicholas Richard.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leona and Frank Savoie; his paternal grandparents, Dallas and Amy Barron; his uncle, Dallas Barron, Jr. and his aunt, Vickie Savoie.

Pallbearers will be Steve Richard, Jamie Fontenot, Ethan Barron, Brad Fontenot, Dallas Barron, III and Blake Castille. Honorary pallbearer will be, John Barron, Sr.
