Minnie Moreau

Melville Funeral services will be held for Minnie Earline Moreau, age 67, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at the First Baptist Church of Melville, La. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Cemetery with the Reverend Buddy Webb officiating.

Mrs. Moreau, a resident of Melville, La., died on Tuesday, September 4, 2012, at Opelousas General Health System. She battled COPD for over 20 years.

Earline was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Melville. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jesse Lee Moreau, of Melville, La. her sons, Anthony Moreau of Melville, La. Allen Moreau and wife, Erica, of Sunset, La. her brother, Donald Donnie Sanders of Melville, La. her sisters, Lucille Robertson of Bayou DeAllemond, La Eva Sanders of Melville and her halfbrother, Milton Muse of Georgia. She was also survived by her three grandchildren who she loved dearly, Ricky Allen Moreau, Noah Matthew Moreau both of Sunset, La. and Patrick Rouse of Melville, La.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Allen Moreau her father, William Preston Muse her mother, Florence Sanders her stepfather, Louis Sanders her brothers, Harry Parrault, Louis Sanders, Jr., William Bill Sanders, Gordon Sanders, Earl Sanders, Sam Casse and her sister, Eloise Lee.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Melville, beginning on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be, Anthony Moreau, Allen Moreau, Roland Naquin Jessie Moreau, Brandon Lee, Tommy Rouse, Donald Sanders, Charles Lee, Jr. and Henry Meyers.
The family would like to thank Dr. Joseph Y. Bordelon, MD and staff, Opelousas General Health System ICU and Emergency Room staff, Dr. Menuet and staff and her special caregiver, Annette Fitzgerald, who Earline loved like a daughter.
