Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 for Michelle Denise Hebert Faul in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the services. Burial will follow in the Little Red Church Cemetery in Opelousas.

Michelle, age 55, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
She worked as a clerk for many years at the St. Landry Parish Health Unit in Sunset. She also was the assistant Chief of Police for the Sunset Police Department. She assisted as a dance instructor for two Dance Schools in Sunset. She enjoyed being outdoors with her family and friends watching bonfires and listening to music. She adored her children and her dogs with her whole heart. She was loved by everyone who she came into contact with and found the best in everyone.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Demitrius "Dee Dee" Faul of Sunset; daughters, Colbi Faul and Sydney Faul, both of Sunset; sister, Kerry Fontenot and husband, David of Opelousas; stepbrother, Cecil Miller and wife, Vickie of Broussard; stepsisters: Cassandra Shore and husband, Francis of Baton Rouge; Celine Guillory and husband, Clyde of Opelousas; and Marcella Miller of Baton Rouge.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Hebert; mother, Marlene "Snooky" Castille Hebert Miller; stepfather, Wesley Miller; sisters: Becky Hebert and Charlene H. Pitre; and step niece, Heather Miller.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Miller, David Fontenot, Jarid Fontenot, Toby Richard, Charles Badeaux, and Michael Cormier.

Visitation held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Memorial Chapel in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the LA Hospice and Palliative Care Staff and the entire staff of Prompt Succor Nursing Home for their wonderful care given to Michelle.
