Family services for Michael Mick Earl Pierce, age 63 will be private.

Mr. Pierce passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 5:00 a.m. in Krotz Springs, La.

Mr. Pierce belonged to the carpenters Local 851 union and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1720. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Mona Lisa Stermer Pierce of Krotz Springs, La. his mother, Lorayne Pierce Brabec of Minnesota his sons, Michael Pierce, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Krotz Springs, La. Mitchell Stermer and wife, Ashley, Krotz Springs, La. his daughter, Kim Fulford and husband, Jeff, of Indiana and his brother, Steve Pierce of Grand Rapides, Minnesota. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, including his granddaughter, Jessica Durovec, and 6 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jr. Pierce.
