Michael Bellard

Opelousas - Funeral services for Michael Dennis Bellard, age 57, will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the St. Landry Catholic Church Cemetery.

Father Michael Champagne will conduct the services.

Mr. Bellard, a resident of Opelousas, La., died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at his residence.

Mr. Bellard is survived by his mother, Melrose Parker, and his step-father, George, of Opelousas, La.; his father, Leroy Bellard, of Lake Charles, La.; his son, Christopher Bellard and his wife, Katie, of Eunice, La.; his brothers, Joseph Joe Dupre, of Opelousas, La. and Chuck Veillon and wife, Beth, of Roy, Utah; his sisters, Maggie Gilley and her husband, Rick of Laporte, Texas and Stephanie Hisle and her husband, Steve, of Seabrook, Texas. He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Mr. Bellard is preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Lynn Bellard.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, La. on Thursday, October 16, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
