Melissa Frame Messina

Funeral services will be held for Melissa Frame Messina at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, in the Julius J. Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until time of service 8:00 PM.  Reverend Benji Richard will conduct the service.

Ms. Messina, age 58, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020.

Melissa loved having her hair and nails done and found peace and comfort in reading the bible.  Melissa loved her faithful four-legged companion, her dog Sissy Pop.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Norma Vasseur Dougherty; her step-mother, Ann Frame; her longtime and special friend, Charles Ray Champagne; her daughter, Tonya Messina Carrera and husband, Jose Carolos Carrera; her brother, Michael Lynn Frame and wife, Lori Porche Frame; her sister, Lynn Vitale Mayeux and husband, Kelly Francis Mayeux.  She is also survived by one grandchild, Brooklyn Marie Carrera and many aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Paul Messina; her father, Raymond Frame; her step-fathers, Allen Dougherty and Sam Vitale and her brother, Little Raymond Frame.
