Melissa Quebedeaux

Grand Coteau - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 for Melissa "Missy" Dawn Stelly Quebedeaux at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau. Rite of Committal will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Melissa, age 51, a resident of Sunset, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Lafayette General.

Melissa worked as an office nurse for Dr. Louis Kerkhoff, M.D. for 32 years. She loved taking pictures and scrapbooking. Missy also loved working outside tending to her flowers and gardens. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Missy will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Steve Quebedeaux; her parents, Nolan and Mary Stelly; her sons, Ryan Quebedeaux and wife, Hailee; Beau Quebedeaux (Chelsie Guidry); Blaise "Nick" Quebedeaux (Tori Martin); Blair Quebedeaux (Sydni Doucet); her brothers, Mitch Stelly (Lisa); John "Johnny" Stelly (Charlotte) and her sister, Christine Hebert. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Emma Quebedeaux and Rhett Quebedeaux.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Nita Nell Comeaux Stelly; her maternal grandparents, Freddy and Nita Comeaux and her paternal grandparents, Noah and Irma Stelly.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday by Darrell Burleigh.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Quebedeaux, Beau Quebedeaux, Blaise Quebedeaux, Blair Quebedeaux, Mitch Stelly and John Stelly.
