Melissa Joubert

Opelousas - Funeral services for Melissa Ann Joubert, 32, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, followed by interment in Bellevue Memorial Park.

Ms. Joubert, a resident of Opelousas, died at 12:32 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2008 in New Orleans at Tulane Medical Center due to a short illness.

Survivors include a daughter, Mallie Carol Phillips, a son, Gage Michael Joubert, her parents, James Nelson Joubert and Claudia Tootie Johnson Joubert of Opelousas, a brother, Michael Shane Joubert and his wife, Denise Vidrine Joubert of Opelousas, her nephews, Christopher James Joubert and Carter Joseph Joubert of Opelousas.

Ms. Joubert was preceded in death by her daughter, Macie Ann Joubert, grandparents, Crawford James Johnson, Claudia Chelette Johnson, James B. Joubert and Johnnie Lee Ledoux Joubert.

Visiting will be held at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, February 4, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will re-open at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday.
